Eun Joo In
I paint my good memories of Chicago summer. Like memories, the spaces
in my painting hover between distant and near, private and public.

I enjoyed going to an amusement park as a child. They are dream-like, and unrealistic.

I paint the collision between trust and distrust, real and virtual repeatedly using my suffocating memory since I moved to NY.

I am inspired to paint about sublimation of my anxiety after my trips to home, Asia as Helen Frankenthaler calmly dyed her canvas.
